CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS / ALLERGIES

Your child’s allergies and history of any previous/existing medical condition requiring medical treatment must be noted on the health form and reported to your child’s teacher. This knowledge is essential to providing the best possible care for your child while in the school’s care.

  • PCP is Peanut-Free Zone. If there are no tree nut allergies in your child’s class, you may send alternatives to your child’s lunch (i.e., sunflower seed butter or wow butter).
  • Reasonable accommodation will be provided for all enrolled children with chronic medical conditions and allergies, including children with life-threatening allergies.
  • Children with severe allergies must have an Allergy Action Plan on file with the office.
  • Children with asthma must have an Asthma Action Plan on file with the office. Please, see the office staff for these forms
  • Any emergency medication necessary will be supplied by the parent/guardians.
  • The school Director must consult with the Office of Child Care and the Maryland Health Department regarding any requirements deemed reasonable.
